Retired “tennis queen” Serena Williams (41, U.S.) has safely given birth to her second daughter.
Williams shared a photo of herself with her husband, Alexis Ovechkin, and eldest daughter, Olympia, on social media on Nov. 23 (KST), holding the newborn in a swaddle.
The baby, her second daughter, has been named Adira River O’Brien, she wrote in the post.

Williams is a “legend” who has won 23 major singles titles.
That’s more than any other player since 1968, when professional players were allowed to compete in majors.
After winning the 2017 Australian Open and giving birth to Olympia, she returned to the court to finish runner-up in four majors.
Williams retired after the US Open last September. She gave birth to her second daughter almost a year after her retirement.
In an essay she wrote for Vogue last year, Williams cited family as one of the reasons she left the court.
“I never wanted to be in a situation where I had to choose between tennis and family. I think it’s unfair. If I were a man, I wouldn’t be writing this. I would have been out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor that comes with childbirth,” he wrote.
