The Korea Gymnastics Association announced on the 26th that it will hold a selection match for national players to participate in the 2023 Artistic Gymnastics International Competition at the National Athletes Village in Jincheon, Chungcheongbuk-do on the 29th and 30th.
In this selection, the representative who will participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games this year will be decided. It also selects athletes to compete in the 16th Junior and 10th Senior Asian Championships, the 31st Chengdu Summer World University Games, and the 52nd International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.
Qualifications for participation include Yeo Jeong Yeo-jeong, Lee Yoon-seo (Gyeongbuk Provincial Office), Shin Sol-yi (Gangwon-do Sports Association), Eom Do-hyeon (Jeju Samdasoo), and Ryu Seong-hyun (Korea National Sport University) ), Lee Jeong-hyo (Army Sports Corps), Kim Han-sol (Seoul City Hall), and Shin Jae-hwan will also participate.
The association announced that the World Championships, which will open in Belgium on September 30, and the Asian Games in Hangzhou, which will open on September 24, will be selected first in order to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Meanwhile, the World Championships, Asian Games, and Senior Asian Championships (Women’s) selections will be held for two days on the 29th and 30th, and the Asian Championships and World University Games will be held for one day on the 29th.
