Reporter Han Nam-jik = Nate Colbert, who holds the record for the most home runs in his personal career with the San Diego Padres in Major League Baseball, has closed his eyes.
The San Diego club delivered Colbert’s obituary on the 6th (Korean time). He is 77 years old.
Colbert played in 1,04 individual games in the major leagues, posting a batting average 스포츠토토 of 0.243 (833 hits in 3,422 at-bats), 173 homers, and 520 RBIs. He hit 163 of his 173 home runs in a San Diego uniform.
MLB.com said, “In San Diego’s 54-year history, no other hitter has hit more home runs than Colbert.”
Adrian Gonzalez (161) is second in personal career home runs in San Diego, and Phil Nevin (156) is third. Dave Winfield came in fourth and fifth with 154 and Tony Guyn with 135.
MLB.com also highlighted Colbert’s 5 home runs, 13 runs scored and 22 bases in an August 1, 1972 doubleheader.
Colbert, who made his big league debut in 1966, retired after the 1976 season due to a back injury.
San Diego inducted Colbert into the club’s Hall of Fame in 1999.
