The Russian Defence Ministry says Ukrainian forces먹튀검증 launched a major offensive on the eastern front, but failed to penetrate Russian defences and were repulsed. The fighting comes shortly after President Volodymyr Zelensky said he would launch a counter-offensive, and it will be interesting to see if the situation changes significantly in the coming days.

“This morning, the enemy launched a massive offensive along five sectors of the front in the direction of Yuzhno-Donetsk,” Russian Defence Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing, according to TASS. “Their goal was to break through the most vulnerable parts of the front and breach our defences, but they were repulsed without accomplishing their mission,” he said.
“The enemy launched a major offensive with six mechanised battalions and two tank battalions, but our troops adequately defended themselves and lost more than 250 servicemen, 16 tanks, three fighting vehicles and 21 armoured personnel carriers,” Konashenkov said, adding that the forward command post was also occupied by the head of the Russian Armed Forces, Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov.
The Ukrainian military offensive has drawn global attention as it comes shortly after President Zelensky threatened a major counter-offensive. “We are ready to launch a counter-offensive operation against Russia,” Zelensky said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), “and I strongly believe that we will succeed.”
