The Toronto Blue Jays snapped a two-game losing streak.
Toronto defeated the Minnesota Twins, 3-1, on Sunday (July 27) at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Kevin Gausman was solid on the mound.
Gaussman allowed one run on four hits and eight walks with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings to earn his third win of the season. He didn’t get the win despite throwing six scoreless innings against Philadelphia on April 11.
Since then, Gaussman has continued to pitch well with seven innings of three runs (two earned) against the Yankees on April 17 and eight innings of two runs against Baltimore on April 22, but has been unable to find the win column먹튀검증.
It was his first win in six games since a seven-hit shutout against the Angels on April 24. For the fourth straight game, Gaussman failed to throw a quality start, but instead picked up the win.
MLB.com wrote, “Gaussman pitched 5 1/3 solid innings, and Kevin Kiermaier and Bo Bissett homered. Toronto defeated Minnesota behind a raucous crowd of Toronto fans at Target Field.”
After the game, Gaussman reflected, “It was definitely a huge win.” “Obviously, we’re trying to get something going right now. I thought we were fortunate to get the first game of the series.”
At the plate, George Springer had two hits, Bissett had two hits and two RBIs including a home run, Merrifield had two hits, and Kiermeyer had two hits and one RBI, including a home run.
