Roberto Firmino, 31, is on Real Madrid’s list of potential signings.

“Firmino is one of the names that Real are considering,” European transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano said on Monday. There are no negotiations going on at the moment, but there have been internal discussions.”

“Firmino is one of the four or five options in the new striker position that Real are looking to sign. He is a free agent from Liverpool.”

Firmino will leave Liverpool at the end of the 2022-23 season. He last signed a new contract in April 2018, which was set to expire in June 2023토토사이트. In early March, he spoke to Jürgen Klopp about renewing his contract, but ultimately declined.

On March 20, he played his final game at Anfield. Firmino came on as a second-half substitute and scored the equalizer in the 44th minute after trailing 0-1 to give the Reds a point. There was a special moment after the game. It was a farewell show for Firmino, James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who are all leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Liverpool teammates lined both sides of the pitch to applaud the four players and present them with a ‘Guard of Honor’.

Firmino has not yet decided on a destination. Florian Plettenberg of Germany’s Sky Sports said on Thursday, “Talks with a new club will start from now on. Firmino has not considered other clubs so far out of respect for Liverpool.”

Meanwhile, Real have emerged as a candidate. Real need a backup striker. While Karim Benzema was performing at the top of his game, he was suffering from fatigue due to a lack of sub options. As a result, he was plagued by frequent injuries and his destructive power diminished towards the end of the season.

As Real prepared for the 2023-24 season, they set out to strengthen their attack. Mariano Diaz is out of contract, and Eden Hazard’s ‘false nine’ plan is in tatters. A clear-cut striker is needed.

Joselu was initially linked. Spanish publication Relevo reported on the 19th that “Real are very serious about Joselu. They see him as an alternative and competition for Benzema. They haven’t started negotiations yet, but Joselu’s name exists inside Real.”

According to Révoir, Joselu is their top target. Joselu has been in an Espanyol shirt since the start of the season. He did his part, scoring 16 goals as the team languished in the relegation zone. This earned him his first call-up to the Spanish national team in March of this year. He also scored a multi-goal debut.

For starters, the transfer will be very cheap. Espanyol are likely to be relegated, and Joselu is old enough to be a bargain.

According to Romano, Real are considering four or five options. The names that have come up so far are Joselu and Firmino.

Firmino is a free agent and has received offers from multiple clubs. In addition to Real, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and Besiktas are among them. It will be interesting to see what Firmino decides to do.
